ANAO 38 Sydney Ave
Projex Building were engaged as the Managing Contractor for the delivery of the Australian Nation Audit Office (ANAO) fit-out following a competitive tender process run by TSA Management. ANAO were relocating from their long-term residency at 19 National Circuit to a newly refurbished 4,800 square meter office located at 38 Sydney Avenue Barton.
The project was delivered under a Managing Contractor delivery model and included the construction of a new reception / waiting area, executive offices, 30 person video conference room, kitchen breakout spaces, small and large meeting rooms, collaboration spaces, focus rooms, an ASIO accredited zone 5 secure room, open plan training areas with 6 operable walls that transformed the space into a function centre and open plan hot desk workstations to cater for 370 staff members.
The quality demanded of this high-end fitout was second to none. Due to the clients brief for activity-based workspaces, the project demanded that the work environment was constructed to a high quality and was fit for purpose, this was to assist with the transition from traditional workstations to activity-based workstations.
There were numerous high-end architectural items specified with long lead times. These items required strategic procurement to meet the project timeframes and budget. Projex building’s ability to apply alternate construction methods and strategically procure the works under contract, resulted in a successful delivery, meeting the client’s objectives without compromising the architectural intent. It is noted that the project was handed over on time and under budget.
