Overview

Neville Bonner Expansion Stage 4 included a two-phase GC21 head contract to provide design and construct services an 885m2 educational building to permanently accommodate 175 students and the associated staff members. The building incorporated adaptive learning areas that were in line with modern educational practices, featuring open plan, flexible and collaborative spaces.

The project also included a unique sensory courtyard to stimulate the users’ senses, a nature play space with timber and sandstone features, tunnels, sandpits, native trees and plants, and various artificial grass and landscaped areas. The works revitalised the underdeveloped aspects of the school grounds while still honouring and promoting its indigenous traditions.
